Layna Friedman's sophisticated sense of style inspired by American glamour with an Italian flair, and more than 15 years experience working with some of the world's rarest jewels, makes her the perfect ambassador to introduce Barbie to the world of fine jewelry. This charismatic and savvy businesswoman brought the collection to fruition through her relationship with Mattel, but found inspiration for the line closer to home through her shared love of Barbie with her daughter Nicole-Juliet. Friedman and her daughter have always been a close knit pair and thanks to their common desire to help those in need, five percent of the proceeds from each sale of the Barbie Rocks collections will be donated to CAFF (Children Affected by Aids Foundation).
